Things i learned from this round and what I need to pay attention to my 2nd house...

  1. Windows Frames:
  • When apply, need to make sure they are level properly.
  • Plastic covering need properly secured, to prevent cement powder from entering.

20081025: Windows are partially ready...

Plaster Ceiling frames are up, too! Since the roof support beams have been removed, now the ceiling has been raise 1 feet upward, thus increase the spaciousness of the rooms.

  • Car Pouch Leveling Concrete.
  • Gate Poles and concrete surrounding wall.
  • Special concrete design poles for entrance and Brunch Area.
  • 1st Floor Toilet Roofing.

2. Quotation from Mr X. for:
  • All Window Frames and Windows.
  • All Door Frames & Doors.
3. Quotation from Ah Fah for:
  • All Electricity Wiring Works.

Just paid another RM5,000 this morning...


That means I have only paid RM10,000 altogether, and Hari Raya is coming so another week will be no work. I have made it clear to the contractor this time starting October 2008 I will be the Project Manager for him. I will be responsible for making sure he meet hsi deadline for eacj stage of the work.

This is coming next for Octorber:

1. Complete the replacement job for the 2 Roof Support Beams from weak concrete to Stainless Steel.
2. Complete the final touch up concrete work for all Windows and Doors. Provided the Windows & Doors arrived on time.
3. Complete the hacking and replastering work for all weak concrete.
4. Clean up all debris and ready for the Electricity Work to start. Electricity Work will scheduled to start on 15/10/2008. (One day before I depart for Japan.)
5. Etc.

The last minute change to window size is now measured 6' by 5.5' due to the change of thickness of the 'left arm' column...
